Installation

Install the Movesia desktop app and Unity package.

Movesia has two components: the Movesia desktop app and a Unity package. Both need to be installed for Movesia to work.

Install the Movesia Desktop App

Download Movesia

Head to movesia.com/install and download the installer for your platform (Windows, macOS, or Linux).

Run the installer

Run the downloaded installer and follow the on-screen instructions.

Launch Movesia

Open the Movesia app after installation completes.

Install the Unity Package

Open your Unity project

Open your Unity 6 project in the Unity Editor.

Open Package Manager

Go to Window > Package Manager in the Unity menu bar.

Add package from git URL

Click the + button in the top-left corner and select Add package from git URL.

Enter the package URL

Paste the Movesia Unity package URL and click Add:

https://github.com/movesia/unity-package.git

Verify Installation

After installing both components:

Open a Unity project with the Movesia package installed
Launch the Movesia desktop app
Open the chat panel and start a conversation
You should see "Connected to Unity" in the status bar

Connection Troubleshooting

If the connection doesn't establish automatically, check that Unity is running and the Movesia package is loaded. The WebSocket server runs on port 8765 by default.
